Victoria Beach

30”W X 15”H, oil on canvas, unframed.  This is looking north to Victoria Beach and Arch Beach from the Montage Resort hotel’s north shoreline in South Laguna. The rocky reef juts out into the ocean and the waves are pretty high there.  They break hard with loud crashes, it sounds wonderful.  On the point near Victoria Drive is a tower which I found out is called the Pirates Tower.  I stood on the rocky reef in a swimsuit for 4 days at the same time, in the later part of the afternoon to paint this large scene, thoroughly enjoying myself every minute.  This painting has a mystical, almost old world feeling to it. I guess it was from my spirit picking up the past, many of these homes were built in the 1920s-40’s.  To inquire for purchasing, email the artist.

I got lots of sun and wet feet from painting here. My daughters and husband came with me several of the days to enjoy the crystal clear waters.  My husband Tom recorded me painting for awhile, I am learning to download it now to place in a flash player so you can see it.  I will definitely come back here to paint again.  I became one with the sea during this artistic adventure.
